Dare Mighty Things

This is one of my most favorite quotes. I was first taken with this quote years ago as a University student working 100% commission sales during the summers. I kept this quote posted on my wall to remind myself that all the challenges I faced on a daily basis in this intense yet exciting business would be well worth the effort. Turns out, every summer was a successful one and this quote played a significant role in keeping me focused while I was in the arena.

I have recently been thinking about this quote a lot and wanted to share it with you.

You might find it handy to print this wonderful and challenging quote and post it on your wall for the month of September. Reflect on it, challenge yourself to get into the arena (whatever that may be for you) if you are not already there. And if you are there, read it often to stay motivated to stay there.

Recent Happenings

First of all, there are a few changes I would like to announce with the So Alive Inside newsletter. Currently, So Alive Inside is a monthly publication but as of September 1st it will be changing to a bimonthly (every two months) newsletter. Articles will be posted to the "Articles" section of Barb Elyett.com as they come available so feel free to browse the site in the interim for new articles. You may also occasionally be updated with special announcements or news throughout the two month period by receiving a quick email from Barb Elyett.com.

I recently performed a concert at the Gospel Music Mountain Festival in northern BC. It was great being able to take my music and message to the people there. The scenery was amazing and had "BC" written all over it. The people were inviting, warm, and hungry for music that would feed the deeper part of them. Attendance as well as the weather was excellent throughout the entire event. It is always such a blessing to take my music to those who have ears to listen. There is nothing like sharing the inspiring, uplifting, and hope-filled message of the gospel through music!
